Strain Breakdown

The Royal Details

A pre-roll is flower that has already been ground and rolled for you. These are rolled with indoor THCA flower, the same material sold by weight elsewhere in the Kingdom, and sold as a single or in packs of ten, twenty five and one hundred.

The short version

  • Rolled with indoor THCA flower, the same material sold in the indoor and exotic collection. The format is a convenience, not a lower grade.
  • Pick a strain, then pick how many. Single, ten pack, twenty five pack or hundred pack.
  • Cost per roll falls as the pack size rises, and most of that drop has arrived by the twenty five pack.
  • Strains rotate with the harvests. The selector above is the live record of what can be ordered.
  • USA grown, lab tested by batch, hemp compliant under the 2018 Farm Bill.

What is actually in them

Nothing is grown separately for pre-rolls. The flower inside is the indoor material the Kingdom sells by weight, ground and rolled rather than sold whole.

That matters because it is not how every brand does it. Pre-rolls are a common home for the material that did not sell as flower, and buyers have learned to assume the worst. Here the format is about saving you the work, not about moving lesser product.

What a pre-roll gives up

Being pre-ground is the convenience and it is also the trade off. Ground flower has far more surface area exposed to air than a whole bud does, so it dries out faster. That is the one real difference between a pre-roll and the same flower bought loose, and it is a storage problem rather than a quality problem.

The strains

Seven strains sit on this listing at the moment. The line up rotates as harvests come in and sell through, and not every strain is available in every pack size at any given time.

The selector above is the live record. If a strain and pack size can be ordered, it is selectable there. If it is not selectable, it is not available, whatever any page on the internet says.

Choosing a pack size

The four pack sizes, and what each one suits.
Pack Suits
Single Trying a strain before committing to a pack of it
10 pack Regular use, or spreading across a few strains
25 pack Where the cost per roll settles
100 pack Buying by volume, events, resale

The saving per roll is not linear. Going from a single to a ten pack saves more per roll than going from twenty five to a hundred does. If you are not sure you will get through a hundred, most of the value is already sitting in the twenty five.

Work it out yourself: take the price of the pack, divide it by the number of rolls, and compare that figure against anything else you are looking at. That is the only number that tells you whether something is actually cheap.

Pre-rolls against buying flower loose

The practical trade off between the two.
Pre-rolls Flower by weight
Preparation None Grinding and rolling each time
Portion Fixed, one roll Whatever you decide
Cost by weight Higher, you are paying for the labour Lower, especially at the larger weights
Travel Straightforward Needs a grinder and papers
Keeps once opened Shorter, already ground Longer, whole buds hold better

If convenience is the point, take the pre-rolls. If you are buying by the ounce or the pound and the work does not bother you, small buds and clearance flower go considerably further for the money.

Storing them

Airtight, cool and dark, the same as flower. The difference is how fast they dry, because the flower inside is already ground.

If you have bought a twenty five or a hundred pack, keep them sealed and take out only what you are using. A humidity pack rated 58 to 62 percent in the container holds them steady. Opening the whole box every day is the surest way to find dry rolls at the bottom of it.

Buying pre-rolls for the first time

Take singles of two or three different strains rather than a ten pack of one. They cost very little each, and you will know which strain is worth buying twenty five of.

Frequently asked questions

What is a THCA pre-roll?

Flower that has already been ground and rolled, ready to use without a grinder or papers. These are rolled with indoor THCA flower, the same material THCA King sells by weight.

What pack sizes are available?

Four. A single, a ten pack, a twenty five pack and a hundred pack. Not every strain is available in every pack size at any given moment, so the selector above shows exactly what can be ordered right now.

How many strains are there?

Seven on this listing at present. The line up rotates as harvests come in and sell through, so the selector above is the live record rather than any list written into the page.

Are pre-rolls made from lower quality flower?

Not here. These are rolled with the same indoor THCA flower sold by weight elsewhere on the site. Nothing is grown separately for pre-rolls. The format is a convenience, not a grade.

Is a bigger pack cheaper per roll?

Yes, and the drop is steepest early. Most of the saving has already arrived by the twenty five pack. Divide the pack price by the number of rolls to compare any two options properly.

How should I store pre-rolls?

Airtight, cool and dark. Because the flower inside is already ground, pre-rolls dry out faster than whole buds. Keep larger packs sealed with a 58 to 62 percent humidity pack and take out only what you are using.

How long do pre-rolls keep?

Sealed, cool and dark, a long time. Opened and left in the air, not long at all. The ground flower is the variable, so the answer depends almost entirely on how they are stored rather than on how old they are.

Are THCA pre-rolls hemp compliant?

Yes. Everything THCA King sells is hemp grown under the 2018 Farm Bill and contains no more than 0.3 percent delta-9 THC. Every batch is lab tested and the results are published on the Certificates of Analysis page.

Will a THCA pre-roll show up on a drug test?

Assume yes. Standard tests look for THC metabolites and do not distinguish hemp derived from anything else. If you are tested for work or any other reason, do not use it.
