What hash actually is

Hash is the oldest cannabis concentrate there is, and the idea behind it is simple.

The resin glands sit on the outside of the flower. Hash is made by separating those glands from the plant material and pressing what is collected into a solid. No solvents are involved. Nothing is added.

That is the whole difference between hash and the flower it came from. The flower is the plant. The hash is the resin off the plant, concentrated by removing almost everything else.

Why it does not behave like flower

Hash does not crumble and it does not grind. It is worked with the fingers, and it wants a little warmth before it will give cleanly.

Moroccan against Lebanese

Both are traditional pressed hash. The difference is in how the resin is collected and worked, and it shows up in the texture.

Neither is better than the other. They are two traditions with different handling, and which one suits you is a matter of preference rather than quality.

The 100 gram block is a traditional pressed block, not 100 loose grams, and it is sold as such.

How to work with it

Warm it first. Pressed hash is firm at room temperature. A few seconds between the fingers softens it enough to break a piece off cleanly without crumbling the rest.

Do not grind it. A grinder will clog and you will lose material to the teeth.

Keep it away from heat when you are not using it, or it goes soft and sticks to whatever it is wrapped in.

Storing hash

Cool, dark, airtight, and wrapped. Greaseproof paper or a small glass jar both work. Plastic is the one to avoid, because pressed resin will stick to it and you will leave material behind every time.

Hash keeps better than flower. There is far less plant material in it to dry out, so a block stored properly stays workable for a long time. It still dislikes heat and light.

Trying hash for the first time

Take a single gram of the Moroccan. It is the more forgiving of the two to handle, and a gram is enough to know whether the format suits you before you buy a block of it.

Ordered on Friday,arrived the following Friday. Gassy smell with fruity undertones. Not too strong of a taste but it does have a mild flavor to it almost tastes the way it smells , kinda gassy but not fruity. The effects are on point. Strong and will help you fall asleep. The nuggs are both minis and smalls in size. Nice green and purple color and under good light and close up you can see it's covered in trichs. I look forward to trying the other varities they have.
